on the 75th Urs of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Rahmatullah Alaih is a rich
and real tribute to the venerable Sufi Saint Taj-ul-Hind.
We, the
Nagpurians, are proud of the pious personality as was Raje Raghuji who ruled
this region with the blessings of Baba. Raje
Raghuji had firm faith in the divine personage and was faithful throughout his
life.
It is
commendable that the royal family has been true to their faith towards Baba
Tajuddin till this day.
One can see
the devotees at the Darbar pouring particularly at Urs timings. In fact, this is the real religion, people of
different cast and creed throng at the threshold of these Sufi Saints. The treated all equally.
Equality is
one of the basic teachings of Islam and Baba has been the perfect pattern of practicality.
Even after
his departure people visit and will visit the sacred shrine and pay
tribute. In fact, these Sufi Saints are
the real rulers and the worldly rulers have been their servants.
People do
not visit so much, so many to the Tombs of Akbar or Aurangzeb as they
whole-heartedly pay visits to Auliya-Allah.
This shows
that Indians are firm believers in spiritualism and there is the point. Materially we are nothing, spiritually we are
everything, and that makes a man – a Man in true sense of the term.
It will be
true tribute to Tajuddin Baba from Nagpurians to rename Nagpur as Tajnagar as “Nag”
means “Cobra” and Taj stands for “Crown”.
